Empowering You

I’m Katie Dysart, dedicated to supporting others through collaborative efforts rooted in strengths, trauma-informed, and a person-centered approach. As a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist, I come from a small community in Northern Ontario but now reside and practice in Toronto.

My academic journey includes an honours bachelor's in Family and Community Social Services, coupled with diplomas in social work and community development, and a master's in social work from the University of Toronto.

Throughout my practice, I've worked with individuals navigating various challenges such as life transitions, anxiety, communication and boundary issues, relationship dynamics, exploration of attachment patterns, and building self-esteem and self-compassion. I also have experience in pregnancy and infant loss, family dynamics, and suicide prevention and crisis intervention.

In therapy, I draw from a diverse range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative approaches. This allows me to tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs and goals.
